Indian Institute ofForeign Trade (IIFT) is a premier institute for management education which wasset up in 1963 by Government of India. Though IIFT started as an autonomousbody to boost Indian Foreign Trade but is now known more as a business school.IIFT scores high ranking among the top management institutes of India.Therefore every year a large number of management aspirants apply for IIFT.

After filling the details candidates are required to send the print out of theform along with the specified documents and demand draft (for those who chooseto pay through Demand Draft) to IIFT. After receiving these IIFT will send thecandidates the admission brochure and other enclosures.
There are few important guidelines that the candidates that are eager to buythe prospectus through post. Candidates should strictly mention theregistration number at the top of the requisite form and should clearly submita Demand Draft carrying a clear signature of the candidate at the back flip ofthe DD.

ELIGIBILITY Recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3years duration in any discipline. Candidate appearing in the final yearexamination of Graduation can also apply subject to submission of proof ofrequisite qualification by 7th October 2013.No age limit

RESERVATIO Seats are reserved asper Government of India rules. The reservations are subject to candidatesmeeting the admission requirement of the Institute under different categories. 

For Foreign Nationals / NRI /Children of NRIs: Seats are reserved for Foreign Nationals, NRIs and Children ofNRIs and the admission is considered on the basis of General ManagementAptitude Test (GMAT) score of which should not have been declared  before1st January2011 and should be received by the Institute latest by 31st March 2013. 

MODE OF ADMISSION  Selection will be on thebasis of Written Test, Group Discussion, Essay Writing and Interview. WrittenTest will be held on SUNDAY 25thNovember 2012 during 10.00 a.m – 12.00noon at Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubeneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai,Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hydrabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur,Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam. Based on the marksof Written Test, a limited number of candidates will be invited for secondphase of selection process comprising Group Discussion, Essay Writing andInterview to be held at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknowand Mumbai. IIFT reserves the right to add/delete any centre, ifrequired.

·        The paper consists of135 questions and comprises of 4 sections- Quantitative ability, VerbalAbility, Logic & Data Interpretation and General Awareness

·         After the written test, the shortlistedcandidates are called for GD, PI and Essay writing.

·         There is negative marking in the exam. 1/3rdof the marks allotted per question are termed negative in case of a wrong answer.
