You will learn:
How to decide whether a proposed long-term project is financially viable, how to prepare budget forecasts, techniques for analyzing and improving cash flow and how to analyse uncertain situations.

Financial accounting, reporting and regulation, ethics and the principles of business taxation.
You will learn:
How to prepare profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow standards that comply with relevant international financial reporting standards and gain an understanding of the general overview of tax principles and how they affect business.

Covers:
Strategic management, project management and management of relationships.
You will learn:
The tools, techniques, methodologies and systems used in managing projects, how to apply various theories for formulating strategy and the tools for managing individuals, teams and networks and for managing group conflict.

Performance Management
Covers:
Making pricing and product decisions, cost planning and analysis, budgeting and control and performance of responsibility centres.
You will learn:
How to set current production levels to maximize short-term profit, method for managing costs, how to investigate why actual results differ from budget and how to evaluate and manage the performance of different units of the organization.

Financial Management
Covers:
Group financial statements, issues in recognition and measurement in financial reporting, analysis and interpretation of financial accounts and new developments in external reporting.
You will learn:
How to prepare consolidated balance sheets, profit and loss statements and cash flow statements for a group of companies and how to analyse a company’s financial accounts in order to assess its performance and position over time and relation to other companies.

Analysing the competitive environment, evaluating strategic options, implementing strategic plans and managing change.
You will learns:
How to analyse the competitive environment, discuss and apply qualitative and quantitative techniques to make strategic decisions, the tools and systems used to implement strategic plans and how to introduce and manage change in organization.

Performance Strategy
Covers:
Management, review and audit of control systems, management of financial and other risks (including risk and control of information system)
You will learn:
How to assess and manage risk, evaluate and improve internal controls and the principles of good corporate governance.

Covers:
Formulation of financial strategy, making and executing financial decisions.
You will learn:
Methods for raising and managing finance, techniques for project assessment and methods for developing a company’s financial strategy.
T4
Test of Professional Competence in Management Accounting
T4 Part A: Initial Professional Development – Work Based Practical Experience
Students must prepare and submit a ‘CIMA Career Profile’ for assessment of their personal work based practical experience and skills development.
T4 Part B: Case Study Examination
It comprises a case study that requires students to apply strategic management accounting techniques to make and support decisions within a simulated business context. It draws on the material covered in the three strategic level papers but focuses on the application of strategic and practical knowledge to a real life business situation.
