CMAT
All India council for Technical Education(AICTE) conducts the Common Management Admissions Test (CMAT) 2013 as anentrance test for admission to 4000+ colleges that offer MBA and 500 collegeswhich run postgraduate diploma in management programs. The exam scores will be valid for admission to 4,000 b-schools in Indiaexcept the IIMs (Indian Institute of Management). The IIMs will continue toaccept CAT scores as their admission criteria.
AICTE has announced the dates for thefirst national level CommonManagement Admission Test (CMAT) foradmissions in all the programs approved by AICTE for the year 2013-2014.
The computer-based CMAT testwill be conducted from February21 to February 25, 2013 in 64 cities.The students will have an option of selecting the date and city for writing thetest. The last date for registration is January 02, 2013.

4000+ B-Schools recognized by AICTE are expected to accept the CMAT.

Objective ofCMAT:
CMAT has been introduced by AICTE toreduce the burden of the students so that instead of giving multiple managemententrance exams, they can give a single entrance exam CMAT and apply to 4000 b-schoolswith that score.
Eligibility Criteria for CMAT 2013
Candidates who are graduates in anydiscipline or are in final year of their graduation can apply for CMAT 2013.
CMAT Exam Pattern:
The CMAT will be a 3-hours onlineexam. The exam will consist of 4 sections - Quantitative Techniques, LogicalReasoning, Language Comprehension, Data Interpretation and General Awareness.Each section will contain 25 questions of total 100 marks. There will be anegative marking system where 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrectanswer.
